Who are you?
We are a duo from Singapore! We started producing music in late 2025 although we have some experience from before then.
How do you produce music?
We use mainly outboard gear instead of using DAWs. The only DAW we use is Audacity. (I don't know if that counts) "forty-two" was recorded on only the Roland S-1 synth as well as some sample chops on Audacity. Nachtgedanken was produced with a Korg Monotron Delay with the samples used. The smaller "date-releases" were put out with tracks that didn't really fit in with our albums. Lately, I've been attempting to play guitar and bass, so you might see some of that in future albums...
Why do your albums use the artist name LPsoundcollection?
Before 2026, the entire project was going to be a solo signalwave/ambient work, so LPsoundcollection was used to reflect the found-sound nature of the project. (42) But ever since we became a duo, we decided to change our name to something better because LPsoundcollection doesn't really slip off the tougue. We settled on Line Printers since it sounded funny and also had the initials LP.
